Another great video from Adam Savage’s Tested Channel on YouTube. The pipe is super sleek and a dead ringer for the one Gandalf used in the Peter Jackson LOTR trilogy. And as Adam Savage says explicitly many many times, this is not a smoking endorsement!
Can you believe it’s been over 20 years since the release of the Lord of the Rings trilogy? Adam has collected all of the replica wizard staffs made by Weta Workshop–each a beautiful prop in its own right. For one of Gandalf’s staffs in particular, a cast resin pipe slots into the top, and Adam today recreates that prop from scratch out a piece of pine wood board.
