Bob of I Like to Make Stuff decided he wanted to try and find a way of toasting images onto bread. In this video, he experiments with a bunch of different ways and doesn’t ever come up with anything optimal (but the video is fun to watch, anyway).
Someone in the comments says that you can place a stencil over your toast, mist the bread with water, and the stencil-covered areas will toast faster than the damp bread. That might work.
