I wanted to briefly write to express my excitement and gratitude about the
recent purchase of my Raspberry Pi. In the November-ish timeframe of 2020, I
spent a few weeks hammering Amazon for AMD’s new CPU that was being ravaged
by scalpers in this disappointing era of shortages. After many tries, I gave
up. I got as far as the final checkout page once before the item went out of
stock.
So it came as a great shock and surprise that I was able to get a Rpi 4 on
my first try, after relentlessly checking stock at the time you seemed to
put them out every day. Not only that, but you even got it to me
the day before Christmas (perhaps the USPS is to thank for that!).
Thank you for caring enough to place restrictions on the items affected by
shortages. It’s the right thing to do, and I’m thrilled that the scalpers
can go kick rocks. Now my dad & I can hack on the Pi during the Christmas
weekend. I won’t forget this and will be back for other electronics in the
future.
