Looking Back at the 55 Year History of AMT’s Iconic Star Trek Enterprise Model #SciFiSunday
The AMT Star Trek Enterprise model kit has been popular among science fiction fans and model builders for over 55 years. Since its introduction in 1967, this kit has given fans of the original Star Trek series the chance to build and display their own version of the iconic U.S.S. Enterprise. When I was a kid, I didn’t know anyone in my circle of friends who didn’t have one displayed somewhere in their bedroom.
In this 22-minute mini-doc on Scale Icons they discuss the entire 55 year history of the model and talk about the conception of the series itself and the development of the Enterprise design.
