In this video, Steve Mould explains how etch holograms work and how you can make one of your own. There’s a lot to take it, but altogether making an etch hologram would be a fantastically fun Saturday morning project!
You can make holograms just by etching lines into a shiny surface. All you need is a compass with two points (a divider). And to be able to get your head around the mind bending geometry.
