Which folding saws are better? Japanese or German?
In this Project Farm video, Todd tests folding hand/pruning saws. He looks at 18 brands: Samurai, Corona, Kakuri Gikoh, Gerber, Fujiwara, Silky, One Stop Gardens (Harbor Freight), Workpro, Kershaw, Ginword, Gruntek, Flora Guard, Amazon Basics, Mossy Oak, SOG, Bahco, and Eversaw.
The saws were tested for initial sharpness, speed cutting through ¾ inch wooden dowel, speed cutting through hardwood, speed cutting through 2×2, blade speed cutting through wooden dowel after extensive use, and blade rigidity.
The bottom line? This is one of those testing exercises that we all love where the cheaper products greatly outperformed the more expensive ones. The Corona saw (at only $17) tested the best.
