USB ports with integrated RGB LED @takuhoTech @DigiKey
匠歩 (@takuhoTech on Twitter) posts this interesting surface mount USB connector that has an embedded RGB LED (discreet, not a smart LED like a NeoPixel/2812).
They are available from Digi-Key. They are not inexpensive but could really be helpful to find a port in the dark or add additional bling.

I’d love to see these become a thing on high-end motherboards. Would be cool being able to assign color based on USB2/3 or chipset or light up ports only when you need them, like if it detected you touching the backplate and turned them on so you could find the correct ports in the dark.
