Side-Light Flexible White LED Strip – 480 LEDs per meter – 1m – Warm White ~3000K

Here at Adafruit, we love discovering new and exotic glowing things. Like moths to the flame, we were intrigued by these ‘chip on board’ ultra-flexible white LED Strips with 480 SMT LEDs per meter, soldered side-by-side, and diffused with silicone epoxy! They look a lot like neon or incandescent tubing or maybe really-nice EL wire, but without the need for expensive transformers, glass tubing, or inert gasses. And these fancy side light LED strips are good for making a slim-and-elegant edge lighting for art, signs, or architectural elements.

Side-Light Flexible White LED Strip – 480 LEDs per meter – 1m – Cool White ~6500K

They are extremely flexible and bendy; this particular strip features a Cool White non-addressable LED strip with a solid chunk of translucent silicone rubber as a diffuser on the side of the LEDs and then encased in a sealed silicone tube that can be cut away. They look incredible, and super easy to use, and are a great way to make your projects light up!

The silicone makes for a strong, durable weather-proof casing. They’re not guaranteed for dunking underwater or long-term outdoor exposure, but they’re durable enough for projects that have to survive the outdoors, like costumes, bike lighting, or festival decorations. Plus, with the adhesive backing, you can stick it where you please.

Raspberry Pi Global Shutter Camera – CS Lens Mount

The Raspberry Pi Global Shutter Camera captures 1456×1088 pixel images while avoiding the distortion artifacts produced by rolling shutter cameras. It is particularly helpful in situations involving fast motion or quickly varying lighting (or lightning!). It’s the latest addition to Raspberry Pi’s line of camera modules and is offered in the same form factor as the Raspberry Pi High Quality Camera CS Mount.

Adafruit Feather RP2040 with DVI Output Port – Works with HDMI

Wouldn’t it be cool if you could display images and graphics from a microcontroller directly to an HDMI monitor or television? We think so! So we designed this RP2040 Feather that has a digital video output (a.k.a DVI) that will work with any HDMI monitor or display. Note it doesn’t do audio, just graphics!

Adafruit CAN Pal – CAN Bus Transciever – TJA1051T/3

If you’d like to connect a board with native CAN Peripheral support, the Adafruit CAN Pal Transceiver will take the 3V logic level signals and convert them to CAN logic levels with the differential signaling required to communicate. Note that not all chips have a CAN peripheral! Some that we know do have it are the ESP32/ESP32-S2/ESP32-S3 (note that ESP32 calls this interface TWAI not CAN) series of chips, SAME51, STM32F405, or Teensy 4.

Adafruit CAN Bus FeatherWing – MCP2515

CAN Bus is a small-scale networking standard, originally designed for cars and, yes, busses, but is now used for many robotics or sensor networks that need better range and addressing than I2C, and don’t have the pins or computational ability to talk on Ethernet. CAN is 2 wire differential, which means it’s good for long distances and noisy environments.
