Adafruit at PyCon US 23: Open Spaces today are 2pm-4pm MT #CircuitPython #PyCon23 #PyConUS
PyCon US 2023 is under way in Salt Lake City, UT. Two thousand like-minded folks have gathered to spend time together learning from each other about Python and more. This year, Kattni and Jeff are representing Adafruit. If you’re attending, make sure you come say hi!
Kattni and Jeff will be hosting Open Spaces all three days of the conference, starting today! Open Spaces are self-organized meetups that take place throughout the conference. Their Open Space will be “Welcome to CircuitPython!” Folks of all levels of experience are welcome to join us to engage and play with CircuitPython. CircuitPython is a version of Python that runs on microcontrollers, which are basically tiny computers.
You’ll be provided with a microcontroller for use during the Open Space. It’s running a fancy demo to introduce you to CircuitPython. When you’re ready to try things on your own, Kattni put together a GitHub repo for PyCon 2023 that contains all sorts of examples for you to work with. Jeff and Kattni, and community members Rose, Alec and Keith will be available to answer questions and provide guidance as needed!
Today’s Welcome to CircuitPython! Open Space will be in room 251AB from 2pm to 4pm. They’re forward to seeing you there!
Have an amazing project to share? The Electronics Show and Tell is every Wednesday at 7:30pm ET! To join, head over to YouTube and check out the show’s live chat and our Discord!
