Discover the Wonderful Anthology of computer animation from the 1980s. Graphics like these were rendered on high-end computer workstations costing tens of thousands of dollars and the quality is not what can be viewed today (much better graphics can be done even with a mid-range gaming computer). But it was a stepping stone to get from there to here.
This is the precursor to the Mind’s Eye series in 1990. It was recorded to laser disc.
