Adafruit ESP32-S2 Feather – 4 MB Flash + 2 MB PSRAM – STEMMA QT / Qwiic: What’s Feather-shaped and has an ESP32-S2 WiFi module? What has a STEMMA QT connector for I2C devices? What has your favorite Espressif WiFi microcontroller and lots of Flash and RAM memory for your next IoT project? What will make your next IoT project flyyyyy?
That’s right – it’s the new Adafruit ESP32-S2 Feather! With native USB and 4 MB flash + 2 MB of PSRAM, this board is perfect for use with CircuitPython or Arduino with low-cost WiFi. Native USB means it can act like a keyboard or a disk drive. WiFi means its awesome for IoT projects. And Feather means it works with the large community of Feather Wings for expandability.
Adafruit 7-Segment Backpack – 1.2″ Tall Digits: By popular request, you can now get our 1.2″ Tall 7-Segment LED backpacks without the LEDs! These backpacks feature an HT16K33 I2C LED driver, they’re simple and easy to use – you can use our very nice library for the backpacks to get running in under half an hour. If you’ve been eyeing matrix displays but hesitated because of the complexity, this is the solution you’ve been looking for!
Like our other LED backpacks, these are end-to-end stackable and by soldering the address jumpers on the back you can have up to 8 backpacks all sharing the same two I2C wires!
Adafruit STEMMA Audio Amp – Mono 2.5W Class D – PAM8302: The Adafruit STEMMA Audio Amp is a super small mono amplifier is surprisingly powerful – able to deliver up to 2.5 Watts into 4-8 ohm impedance speakers. Inside the miniature chip is a class D controller, able to run from 2.0V-5.5VDC. Since the amp is a class D, its very efficient (over 90% efficient when driving an 8Ω speaker at over half a Watt) – making it perfect for portable and battery-powered projects. It has built in thermal and over-current protection but we could barely tell it got hot. There’s even a volume trim pot so you can adjust the volume on the board down from the default 24dB gain. This board is a welcome upgrade to basic “LM386” amps!
Adafruit RP2040 Prop-Maker Feather with I2S Audio Amplifier: The Adafruit Feather series gives you lots of options for a small, portable, rechargeable microcontroller board. By picking a feather and stacking on a FeatherWing you can create advanced projects quickly. One popular combo is our Feather M4 or Feather RP2040 with a Prop-Maker FeatherWing on top to create animatronics or props that boot up instantly and can drive LEDs, and small speakers.
We’ve used the Prop-Maker FeatherWing to make lots of lil robots, swords, and other prop projects. However, what if we made it even easier for people to make props? What if we made it so many projects can be built with minimal or no soldering at all? Yeah that would be pretty nice!
Thus, the creation of the Adafruit RP2040 Prop-Maker Feather: an all-in-one combination of the Feather RP2040 with a Prop-Maker FeatherWing with a few tweaks based on feedback from expert prop-builders. Perfect for fitting into your next prop build! This Feather will unlock the ‘Imagineer’ inside all of us, with tons of stuff packed in to make sabers & swords, props, toys, mini robots, cosplay pieces, and more.
