I’ve driven and been a passenger on FDR Drive in NYC more times than I can count and I had no idea that part of it was built on the rubble of the city of Bristol, which was bombed heavily during WWII. Bristol Basin, or Waterside Plaza, is located between 23rd and 34th Street.
