A QT Py/Xiao sized CH32V203 RISC-V development board #RISCV @Brubacker
On X (formerly known as Twitter), Wim Van Gool and Hans Polders have verified a CH32V203 design by WCH (Nanjing Qinheng Microelectronics Co., Ltd.).
Since too many people in our hackerspace wanted to experiment with the @WCH_TECH CH32V203 chip, I went down a rabbit hole trying to keep cost down. Ending up with this compact board with USB-C, backpower protection and a WS2812 LED. All pins available on 100mil spaced headers.
The CH32V203 is an interesting RISC-V chip running at 144 MHz with 20kb RAM and 64kb Flash.
Wim writes:
Realizing the board could be reduced in size, I settled on the @adafruit QT Py / XIAO form factor. To avoid wasting all that IO, I added 1.27mm pitch SMD pads. Next up, new prototypes from Aisler.
