In Linsey’s Words
Air pollution is responsible for an enormous burden on our health and well-being. The recent pandemic and recurring episodes of wildfire smoke underscore the need to tackle air pollution with renewed vigor. I hope we can look back on this period as the era of peak air pollution. As we move away from fossil fuels and begin designing buildings to have good air quality, we will shift toward cleaner outdoor and indoor air. We should take advantage of this moment of greater public awareness, rich scientific knowledge, and technological advances to kick off a clean air revolution.

Happy Ada Lovelace Day! Today, in honor of Ada Lovelace, the world celebrates all of the accomplishments of women in science, art, design, technology, engineering, and math. Each year, Adafruit highlights a number of women who are pioneering their fields and inspiring women of all ages to make their voices heard. Today we will be sharing the stories of women that we think are modern day “Adas” alongside historical women that have made impacts in science and math.
