The Great Search: Graphite Thermal Pads #TheGreatSearch #DigiKey #adafruit @DigiKey @adafruit

(Video) We saw this call for help over on X, asking for a DigiKey part number for “graphite based thermal pads” . These are used to cool down chips on CPUs or GPUs when performing heavy computation.

Normally folks use thermal paste but there’s also thermal pads that can be used. These are less messy and are more forgiving of gaps or rough spots between the chip and heatsink.

One thing to watch for is a lot of ‘marketing heavy’ modding parts don’t publish specs! So while we were not able to find an exact match for ‘KryoSheet’ – because they purposefully don’t say what the thermal resistivity is, we did find some good matches on DigiKey if you want to use graphite thermal pads in your next product.
