Making a sliding ornament Christmas tree pendant #3Dprinting #Holiday

Debra (@GeekMomProjects on Mastodon) shows two 3D printed Christmas tree pendants/ornaments where the interior ornaments can slide.

This model makes a fun pendant to wear at holiday parties and can work as an ornament for your tree. Prints well in PLA at 0.2mm layer height. Your printer must be able to bridge long gaps well for the rails to work. A brim helps keep the small pieces from detaching while printing. Swap filaments for the topmost 0.4mm to make the star and ornaments “pop” in a different color. The ornaments and star look best if the top and bottom layers are printed with a “concentric” print pattern.
