The Retro Analogue Rhythms of Floppotron 3.0 #MusicMonday
Here at Adafruit, we are lucky enough to hear the sounds of many machines. Our weekly #AdvancedManufacturing and #MadeInNewYork videos are filled with the rhythms of making. Back in the day hard drives and modems and scanners used to make noise that could, at times, sound like sweetly syncopated music. The Floppotron takes that notion and pushes it as far as it can possibly go. Here’s more from SonicState:
[Floppotron 3.0] features 512 floppy disk drives, 16 hard disks and 4 scanners of noise making…goodness? The make up and design has been detailed extensively on the makers blog post, in addition to a full hardware run down.
Have an amazing project to share? The Electronics Show and Tell is every Wednesday at 7:30pm ET! To join, head over to YouTube and check out the show’s live chat and our Discord!
