Adafruit and Digikey collaborated on a new kit: the DigiKey Hackbox @DigiKey

Adafruit made a new kit with DigiKey! The Hack Box.

Are you ready to explore your creative side? Look no further than the DigiKey exclusive Hack Box Kit from Adafruit, featured in this episode of “Potentially Genius.” Together with John Park, the team from Tomorrow Lab has designed a unique creature that can recognize food-shaped stickers and room lighting. It will even display various facial expressions and tail animations based on what it senses.

To create your own creature design, all you need are a few paper patterns and the DigiKey Hack Box Kit. Simply download the project files provided below to get started. The design files contain everything you need to modify the box and create the creature’s body. The firmware folder also includes an interaction table that breaks down how your actions impact your digital pet’s various actions and emotions. Once you have copied everything onto the Clue board and installed the PetOS files, your project will come to life and react to your every move.
