Today we sat down to design the other side, a receiver. We did find a 38KHz receiver that will work, but it got us thinking about ‘code learning’ IR projects, where we don’t want to demodulate out the 38KHz or whatever frequency, but retain the signal so we can determine the carrier frequency as well as the code.
We were all ready to go with the TSMP77000 after our initial search, but then noticed it was end-of-life (EOL, re. no longer made).
Will we find a replacement that is currently manufactured? Tune in to find out!
