OpenSauce looking for projects to showcase and to application to exhibit …

OpenSauce

Adafruit friend Caleb Kraft is doing some work with OpenSauce and looking to get the word out, so we said we’d help… take it away Caleb!

Back in 2019, William Osman approached me with the idea of a new event that took the parts he liked of other science/tech/engineering events and mashed them together. He named it OpenSauce. Last year we had our inaugural event and it was bonkers. It was so much fun and felt so new and vibrant. This year, we’re hoping we can make it even bigger and more amazing.

We’ve gotten the Cow Palace in San Francisco for the weekend of June 15-16, and we’re stuffing it to overflowing with incredible projects and youtubers. There will be well over 200 booths with folks from the community showing off the insane things they’ve built. The two stages are going to have non-stop talks and panels from youtube celebrities you know and love. The lineup is pretty impressive so far and just keeps growing. There is no other event offering a lineup like this!

What I love about OpenSauce is the silly irreverent attitude of it all. Yeah, there might be some of the most impressive engineering you’ve ever seen, but also there’s a 40 foot inflatable among us with giant booty cheeks (his name is Hugh Jass). Come and have some fun, meet the folks you watch on youtube, and celebrate science and engineering with laughs.

We’re still looking for more projects to showcase, which comes with free admission of course, so please apply to exhibit ASAP if you’ve got a fun project. The deadline is April 15th.
