A robust 90 mm buzzer with a scissor mechanism evenly distributes pressure across the entire operating surface. As a result, theBuzzer reliably triggers even when operated at the edges.
This button has a much better tactile feel compared to most commercially available mushroom buttons. Additionally, it is more space-saving with a height of only 30mm and looks much better on a table.
The design is so robust that theBuzzer can also be used as a foot switch.
The design consists of only 4 parts and does not require any additional mechanical components. The only necessary element is a standard 16A microswitch.
The LED version utilizes a 16-LED ring with 16pcs WS2812 LEDs (available from Chinese suppliers for a few dollars).
Have fun! 🎉

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!
Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
