A pill shaped screwable container. Use it to store pills or other things waterproof. (If you use it for pills it’s called a Pill Pill Capsule…)
To be completely waterproof, an O-ring must be added. Inner diameter should be Ø14-Ø18.5mm. Thickness 2-3.5mm.
There is also a version for use without O-ring. The watertightness there is achieved by a conical seal.
The thread used does not require any post-processing, is very smooth to use and exceptionally strong. It requires a few screws in and out to smooth out the roughness of printing. Even when scaling up the model (where the space between the inner and outer thread increases), the thread will continue to function properly.
There are 2 versions for the upper part (O-ring version): 1 for attachment to a steel ring (see photo) and 1 for use with a lanyard. The latter has no visible eye for attachment to the Pill…

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!
Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
