This tutorial will show you how to build and use the Adafruit RGB LCD Arduino shield. We have a great library that makes it incredibly easy to use the LCD and the 5 included buttons while only using 2 pins on the Arduino!
The RGB LCD Shield guide has been updated for Rev B of the shield. As of May 29, 2024, the PCB’s design has been updated. Now it comes with the buttons, chips and other components already soldered into place. You will still need to solder on the shield headers and the LCD, but it’s a lot easier. There are updated assembly pages and resources on the Downloads page.
