This week at my desk we spent a lot of time working on some tester repair – so not as much on newer designs. However, we did make a tester for the DS2484 breakout we chatted about last week, so that should be making its way to the shop soon.
We also started playing with the RP2040 Feather Adalogger prototype to make sure it works – CircuitPython support makes it fast and easy.
Finally, we had a request for an IrDA transceiver since we’ve been doing so may IR breakouts… good idea!
IrDA isn’t used that often these days, but it’s still a useful physical interface when you don’t want the expense or overhead of RF. Also, could be useful for retro interfacing like for Palm Pilots and other pre-Bluetooth PDAs.
