We’re Moving to Brooklyn!

That’s right folks – we’re heading to Brooklyn!

Adafruit publishes a wide range of writing and video content, including interviews and reporting on the maker market and the wider technology world. Our standards page is intended as a guide to best practices that Adafruit uses, as well as an outline of the ethical standards Adafruit aspires to. While Adafruit is not an independent journalistic institution, Adafruit strives to be a fair, informative, and positive voice within the community – check it out here: adafruit.com/editorialstandards

Stop breadboarding and soldering – start making immediately! Adafruit’s Circuit Playground is jam-packed with LEDs, sensors, buttons, alligator clip pads and more. Build projects with Circuit Playground in a few minutes with the drag-and-drop MakeCode programming site, learn computer science using the CS Discoveries class on code.org, jump into CircuitPython to learn Python and hardware together, TinyGO, or even use the Arduino IDE. Circuit Playground Express is the newest and best Circuit Playground board, with support for CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. It has a powerful processor, 10 NeoPixels, mini speaker, InfraRed receive and transmit, two buttons, a switch, 14 alligator clip pads, and lots of sensors: capacitive touch, IR proximity, temperature, light, motion and sound. A whole wide world of electronics and coding is waiting for you, and it fits in the palm of your hand.

  1. Hello Fruitians! Have you folks been in Manhattan up to this point?

ps. the Resista-Captcha (TM) is great.

  2. I know Industry City, being a customer of both Micro Center there, and St. Marks Comics, and even that Japan Village place. Does Adafruit plan on launching a store front there?

  3. Jim Hendrickson

    Great news!

I hope all goes smoothly with the move. Looking forward to the virtual tour once you’re all settled into the new place.

  4. David B. Bitton

Is the move to Brooklyn in lieu of in addition to the Varick St. location? Does this mean they’ll be tours? I’m just over the bridge, so you’re "local".

  5. Hi – any chance Adafruit would consider participating in or being a sponsor for TCF 2025? TCF (aka Trenton Computer Festival) is the longest running festival for tech and computing in the world. Past keynoters have included Bill Gates, Brian Kernighan and Bjorne Stroustrup, and many others in the pantheon of tech.

Last year we had a popular robot competition, and the year before a Hack-Io-Thon!

We’re currently formulating the theme for TCF 2025 — we’d love to have you join us!

  6. MadRobot approves!
You should TOTALLY put a plaque up with the ‘resistor color code’ of RED, RED, BROWN, GOLD to indicate your address of 220.
    Don’t let me down now!
(Spoken in SP0256) “MadRobot has spoken!”
