Ada Lovelace mural at new Adafruit factory in Industry City, Brooklyn
Most/all folks who work on-site at the new Adafruit factory in Industry City, Brooklyn have seen the mural that was completed in the entry area, here’s a short video we did for the remote team members and the Adafruit community – this is a mural of Ada Lovelace, she “was an English mathematician and writer chiefly known for her work on Charles Babbage’s proposed mechanical general-purpose computer, the Analytical Engine. She was considered the first to recognize that the machine had applications beyond pure calculation” – and she is one of the reasons Limor adopted the hacker handle “Ladyada” as a teenager, and one if the reasons why Adafruit is called Adafruit.
