This double-decker planter for sprouts and waterkress makes the best of the space on your windowsill! Growing sprouts or waterkress yourself is fun and makes a great addition to salads and other foods. Simply rip up some cotton balls and spread them inside the trays, generously portion out your seeds and keep it moist! In a few days they’ll be ready…
The double-decker design with holes in the tray base allows excess water to drip down and water the sprouts growing below. An additional space below the bottom tray prevents water from gathering and ‘drowning’ the sprouts (although you’ll find that’s hard to do, anyway).

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!
Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
