The Great Search: MCK-less, hardware-configured, stereo line-level output I2S DAC @DigiKey @Adafruit
Our UDA1334A I2S DAC board was discontinued during the part shortage, and we still need to stock a good replacement.
Let’s find something that can take its place: we want something low cost – the UDA1334A was under $1 – with a built-in PLL, so no MCK is needed, hardware configuration, so I2C drivers are not needed, and stereo line never output.
We’re not expecting to find anything pin-compatible, but we do need to hit all those requirements to make it easy for people to use with microcontrollers / existing digital setups or with SBCs like the Raspberry Pi that don’t generate MCK.
