Hello Adafruit-ers,
I have a confession to make: I am absolutely addicted to Adafruit. I am a
semi-retired (medical) embedded controls system software engineer that used
to work in DOD aerospace and in industrial automation. I discovered all that
is awesome in Adafruit many years ago and spread the gospel about STEMM and
encourag folks (and their daughters) to come try the Adafruit Kool-Aide for
years.I have to be careful when browse y’all website, as I could easily drop a
grand w/o even thinking about it. Every time I get a package from Adafruit,
it’s like Christmas in july. I absolutely love tinkering w/ this stuff. I
have at least a half dozen projects in work at any given time that usually
are comprised of half Adafruit hardware and 3d printing. Like a stand alone
Wifi Enabled clock using a Feather Huzzah board w/ an OLED display, or a 2m
long wifi enabled Neopixel array that has hosts it’s own website to
configure the light show and displays the time of day as pulsing lights. Or
a pool temp sensor array that floats on the surface that poll the temp at
differently levels, again WiFi (Feather Huzzah) enabled so it you can see
the water temp anytime and pushed temp data to my own hosted mysql DB via a
REST interface, that also has a solar panel (from Adafruit) that charges a
battery (Adafruit) using a solar controller (Adafruit).
I’m a bit obsessed.Keep up the good work and you may end up getting all the money I have in the
world all the while filling universities w/ budding female engineering
students.
Cheers,
‘Odie’
