A Radio Shack computer catalog from 1978 #ShackToberFest
I picked this up at Radio Shack during High School. Back then I was saving for college and couldn’t afford a computer. The complete system prices were out of reach (and factoring in inflation are still steep). But they were available, worked, and had decent software. That was a boon to folks who couldn’t build themselves a system.
I remember the “Screen Printer” – a thermal printer that wasn’t very useful to me when I needed to look at submitting typed reports. The line printer was $1300! Ouch!
