Diana Iracheta holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northern Illinois University, and works as a Manufacturing Engineer. Since then, she launched Latina Engineer, founded International Latina Engineer Week, and created scholarships for minorities in STEM.
I am an advocate for STEM, focused on the empowerment of women and Latinas in Engineering. in 2008, I migrated from Monterrey, Mexico at age 12. I am the first one in my family to attend college in the United States. Today, I hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northern Illinois University, and currently work as a Product Design Engineer at Werner Co.
