What Runs Doom? A commercial toothbrush #DailyDoom #Doommas
In December, Adafruit is showcasing hardware that runs the vintage game Doom, with a special emphasis on things you would not expect could run the popular game.
User atc1441 on X (formerly Twitter) demonstrates running the game Doom on the tiny color display of an electric toothbrush.
The Toothbrush contains an ESP32-C3 microcontroller with 4MB Flash.
With the codebase from Spritetm and miniwad data file, atc1441 was able to get the complete size of DOOM and WAD file down to the 4MB of the ESP32.
