The episode focus is on the intersection of science and art and partly features Erik Demaine, a Canadian-American who was a child prodigy that joined the MIT faculty at the age of 20 after receiving a PhD from the University of Waterloo. Demaine’s mathematical origami is featured in MoMA’s permanent collection.
