Making a spooky eyes animation with an Adafruit ESP32-S3 display
Daniel Kuntz has made a neat eye effect on a tiny screen. The project uses an Adafruit ESP32-S3 TFT Feather board, which comes with a nice 240×135 color display and a speedy dual-core processor.
While Daniel doesn’t elaborate how this was done in software, it would likely be a small CircuitPython program playing an animated GIF of the eyes. Individual frames could also be animated in CircuitPython or Arduino. Overall it’s a cute project with a lot of appeal.
And it kind of reminds me of this cartoon animation
