Folks may be familiar with our HalloWing M4 fancy eyeballs demo code – it’s very dependent on the wired-up hardware. But of course, with our new round displays, we wanted to try wiring one up to see how it looks. That ended up being 2 days of hacking, but at least it’s done now – we’ve refactored the code to support any SAMD51 board and any SPITFT display. It’s not ready for publication yet; We juuuuuust got this working like 3 minutes ago… We want to abstract out the SAMD51-dependant parts so it could be run on chips like the ESP32 or RP2350! – video.
