NEW PRODUCT – GlowStitch Maker Kit – Crafting LED Strips from MakerQueen

Introducing GlowStitch LEDs: the ultimate solution for adding lights to sewing and crafting projects. These LEDs are crafted from flexible circuit boards, making them perfectly machine sewable for a wide range of applications, including soft circuits, paper circuits, crafting projects, and artworks. GlowStitch LEDs cater to hobbyists, makers, cosplayers, fashion designers, schools, and kids involved in crafting. What’s more, you’ll have everything you need right out of the box to create your GlowStitch LED projects.

A powerful new way to add lights to clothing, these strips make wearable technology easy, no hand sewing or conductive thread needed. Just stick down your strips with conductive tape and add power with the battery holder, that’s all you need. You don’t need a soldering iron or extra equipment to get things working. Conductive tape and LED strips are compatible with soldering but not essential.

The GlowStitch Maker Kit comes with everything you need to get started, including:

  • Sheet of 10 white LED strips
  • Sheet of 10 color cycling LED strips
  • 1 CR2032 coin cell battery holder – Batteries not included
  • 1 2xAAA battery holder – Batteries not included.
  • 10m of conductive fabric tape and a glossy instruction manual

No coding or Arduino needed before seeing results. These LED strips are non-addressable, and the rainbow ones use colour cycling LEDs with built in patterns. You can still use coding and Arduino to switch them on and off. Paint over your circuit and add lights to crafting projects in creative ways. Experiment with light diffusion using semi-transparent materials like cotton wool, cellophane, buttons, fabrics, fake gems and much more!

New to electronics? Don’t worry! Each GlowStitch kit includes a detailed and colorful 20-page instruction booklet designed to get you started, even if you have no prior knowledge. It offers valuable tips, tricks, guidance, troubleshooting advice, and example project ideas. The content is presented in a user-friendly format with bite-sized information, colorful diagrams, and clear explanations, making it accessible for absolute beginners.

An easy way to put learning electronics in art and craft activities, making STEAM education a breeze. Lots of examples and printable project sheets available below to get inspired.
