SparkFun, in their latest newsletter, has introduced two new Arduino Uno-shaped development boards specifically targeted to run MicroPython & Python. One has a Raspberry Pi RP2350 processor, the other an ESP32.
They have also written a number of drivers for their hardware to be MicroPython compatible:
