Magical Girl D.Va Costume with Glowing Wings

When cosplayer Kaeatri, a.k.a. Patricia, made her Overwatch D.VA costume, she decided to go with a fan art creation of the character – kind of. She thought the fan art featured D.Va as a magical fairy, when it was actually D.Va with an artist’s logo in the background. But the idea still inspired her, so she adjusted her D.Va cosplay to match the fairy idea with glowing LED elements and all. She says:

The outfit and wig were bought online. With the help of Rei Star we modified the dress to fit my dimensions. I ended up buying a pair of shoes from Ross and modified the shoe covers that came with the dress. I then glued tons of small gems onto them to give it more sparkle. I also made a harness to hold the wings and incorporated that into my dress. For the wings I had Cosplay Lighting make the LED boards that I then took and attached to a cardboard cutout. Afterwards I plastered it with almost 10,000 gems and glitter paint with the help of Rei Star and hubby. The wand and headset were 3D printed by my friend Elphie Monster Cosplay. I custom painted it and added the final glitter touches.
