You can’t write a novel. It’s impossible. Just thinking about it: 80,000 words, a couple hundred pages — the prospect of writing a novel is just ridiculous. But I bet you can write a sentence. In fact, I bet you could write for ten minutes, then take a five minute break, and then write for another ten minutes. And if you that for a year or so, you’ve got a novel. Maybe not a good one, but you’ve sure got a novel.
